Do Not Feed your Dog with Human Food…

Many of us can’t say no to our dogs when he starts pawing you and you share food from your plate. Some foods always look tempting for you as well as your pets and you won’t mind sharing your leftovers with your pet. But the reality is there are some foods must be healthy for you but not even unhealthy, very dangerous for your dogs. Do not share your table scraps which are a bad habit and can also harm your pet.

Just because you are habitual of three-course dinner doesn’t mean your pet would love this too. It is important for you to understand which foods are harmful to your pets that you must avoid too.

Chocolate & Caffeine: A big no to the human edibles which include caffeine or chocolates. This is a fatal mistake to feed your dog with these human food. Caffeine in coffee and chocolates are highly toxic to your pets which may cause diarrhea, vomiting, panting, dehydration and excessive urination.

At their worst, it may cause abnormal heart rhythms, seizures, tremors and even death in some pets. Chocolates should not be given to dogs in any case even if you think dark chocolate is less harmful.

Alcohol: While you enjoy these alcohol beverages a lot, avoid placing it anywhere to avoid its contact with your dogs. Every alcoholic drink contains ethanol which can damage dog’s respiratory system and central nervous systems. Alcohol can also cause diarrhea, vomiting, breathing problems, a sudden drop in coordination, abnormal blood acidity, tremors and even, unconsciousness.

Yeast Dough: Many people understand that the dough needs to rise to the right level for making bread or pizza dough. But the dough rising property is something that makes yeast dough dangerous for your pets. If your pet consume dough, it will keep rising in his stomach which may stretch the abdomen. It may even cause intestines to rupture.

Grapes & Raisins: It may come as a surprising element for some pet owners. You must enjoy treating your dogs with grapes or raisins but its the best to avoid feeding them which seemingly harmless. It contains an unknown toxic substance but can be deadly. Even a small amount may cause kidney damage including the side effects like vomiting, lethargy, and depression.

Onion Garlic: Onions and garlic are commonly present in every human’s food to enhance flavor and spice. However, these vegetables and herbs can cause major gastrointestinal irritation in pets. They can also connect to red blood cell damage, weight loss and lethargy as well.

Fat Bones: Many pets always stand around your table to taste your roasted chicken piece but feeding your pet with leftover bones can be dangerous and unhealthy. These greasy foods can cause pancreatitis in dogs, specially, cooked bones. It may also cause intestinal lacerations and choke.

Nuts: Nuts must be the important part of your everyday diet but nuts are dangerous for dogs. These are high-fat foods which can put them in a danger for pancreatitis. It may also cause upset bowel or gastrointestinal. All types of nuts should be avoided which may contain mycotoxins that cause adverse neurological symptoms.

Conclusion

These human foods seem very healthy for humans but equally painful for pets. Especially, dogs can die due to consuming these human foods. They often fall ill when the owners share their food with the pets.
